~A little Info on the Jewelry Maker~
My name is Kate Rotondo. I'm a 22 year old Quebecer and I currently reside a couple minutes from Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Canada. I love making crafty things and over the last 2 1/2 years have discovered how much I enjoy making unique jewelry that no one else has, and of course I couldn't resist all of the awesome beads and gemstones that exist in the world!
I'm very meticulous when it comes to making jewelry, and I end up spending a lot of time making everything, but even beyond that and the back, hand and eye aches (and the brainstorming for hundreds of names for my jewelry!), it's something that I really enjoy doing (but I honestly don't know how I got myself into making jewelry!). I spend a lot of time searching for inexpensive but quality beads and jewelry materials wherever I visit and online, so I can provide reasonably priced jewelry for my customers. I've got hand-picked stones and shells from the shores of Florida and Scotland as well. I sometimes make my own clay and glass beads too.
My jewelry comes from a smoke-free house. I occasionally sell to stores, I sometimes am found at craft shows, and I'm interested in selling jewelry for fundraisers. Unfortunately, I don't advertise my site very well so not many people know about it. If you have any friends, relatives or co-workers who like unique jewelry or are always looking for neat crafty gifts, let them know about my jewelry business and customizable jewelry feature, It'd be greatly appreciated!
For those interested in hosting a jewelry party at their own home, here's how it works: I install my jewelry "booth" in a decently empty room at your house for a few hours one day/evening of your choice, you invite your friends/relatives/coworkers to the jewelry party, and you receive a discount or free jewelry for hosting the party and helping me show my jewelry to new customers! (The amount depends on how successful the party was) Plus you and all of your friends can have a good time trying on all kinds of different jewelry at your own pace. You don't have to prepare anything, that's my job. If you have a few tables to lend me that's very much appreciated, otherwise I bring all of my own displays and equipment. The amount of time I'd be at your house would be about 1 hour prior to the showing, the actual open hours, and about 1 hour afterwards. It helps a lot if I can see the room I'll be working in before the jewelry party date, or get the dimensions and a picture of the room and tables available. I'm willing to host jewelry parties in Unity, Wilkie and North Battleford at the moment. You end up getting to view hundreds of pieces of jewelry with familiar people in your home and end up with a discount/free jewelry; It doesn't cost you anything except a 5$ fee for people located in North Battleford (to help with the rising cost of gas).
If you want a jewelry boutique at home to look through all to yourself, that's possible too! The jewelry display for a one-person showing is less formal and you don't have to worry about having to deal with many people in your home at once. It also gives you lots of time to match jewelry with clothing you own, shop for multiple people at once (gift wrapping available), or choose beads for customized jewelry if that's what you're looking for, but there's a 10$ fee for this kind of showing. I'm willing to host one-person showings in Unity, Wilkie and (5$)North Battleford at the moment.
Desert Creatures is another site I've got running about gerbil care and maintenance. It has many photos, tons of information and a bunch of cool services. Take a look!
If you are interested in buying some of my jewelry or if you have any questions, you can reach me at blue.bemusement@gmail.com. I usually reply within 24 hours and often much sooner.
-My guestbook wasn't working for a very long time and it took me a year to fix it, but it's finally working now! Sorry for the late fix.
